Con apenas 26 años lleva a cuestas este palmarés de vértigo pero, sobre todo, una auténtica pasión por este deporte y, a la vez, estilo de vida. En 2014 fue campeón de España.

En 2011 fue el primer surfista europeo invitado a la prueba de olas gigantes más selecta del mundo, en Hawai.

Hodei Collazo Wins ASP 6-Star Quiksilver Pro Portugal

RIBEIRA D’ILHAS/ERICEIRA, Portugal (Sunday, October 24, 2010) – Hodei Collazo (Zarautz, EUK) 26, won the ASP 6-Star Quiksilver Pro Portugal over good friend, Gony Zubizarreta (Vigo, ESP) 25, in a high scoring, tight final to claim his maiden Star-Series victory at the main event site of Ribeira D’Ilhas.

Opening his account with an 8.50 out of ten and then backing it up with an 8.17, Collazo had his opponent in a combination situation early in the battle and looked to be on his way to a comfortable win.

Estuvo 30 años dedicandose al surf. It is really special and I want to say thanks to all of them for their support. Esta es la temporada que más nos gusta y en la que entran olas buenas. I managed to catch the bomb and get that score which got me back into the heat.

En 2016 sufrió un brutal accidente surfeando en Meñakoz y sufrió una perforación de pulmón y tuvo tres costillas rotas.

I think the judge’s decision in the end was correct. es uno de esos campeonatos que cuando lo ves en el calendario siempre estás con ganas de ir. Siempre ha sido mi surfista preferido, junto con Mick Fanning, o con Taj Barrows.

Maybe I made a couple of mistakes in that heat but I am still happy with a semi-final result.”

Remaining a clear leader on the ASP European Men’s rankings and with two stops remaining on the circuit, Lacomare is looking strong to back up his 2009 ASP Europe Junior title.
“I am really happy with my year and hopefully I can take out the European title after the Canary events and if not I am just really happy with the results I have done this summer.”

Hace unas semanas, la Surfer Rule tuvo la suerte de charlar con uno de los mejores surfistas de nuestro panorama nacional y uno de los más conocidos a nivel internacional, Hodei Collazo @hodeicollazo.

Durante esta charla nos contó cuál es su nueva filosofía de trabajo, en la cual priman más sus propias sensaciones que la exigencia de cumplir unas fechas.
