In 1556, Duke Ercole rewarded Rore for his excellent work.

During his years in Ferrara, Rore also connected with the court of Albrecht V of Bavaria in Munich. Before him are Pope Pius IV, Conrad Gessner, Dragut, Lodovico Ferrari, and Queen Munjeong. This included imitation and canonic techniques.

They are mostly for four or five voices, with one for six and another for eight; the tone of his writing tends toward the serious, especially as contrasted with the light character of the work of the early madrigalists such as Jacques Arcadelt and Philippe Verdelot. He also released two books of motets in 1544 and 1545. Before him are Ermengarde of Hesbaye (778), Louise Françoise de Bourbon, Duchess of Bourbon (1673), Pierre De Geyter (1848), Henry I, Duke of Brabant (1165), Bartholomeus Spranger (1546), and Yves Leterme (1960).

He was likely born in 1515 or 1516. It made five voices the standard for madrigals, instead of four. His family had lived in Ronse since at least the 1400s.

  In 1547, he entered in the service of duke Ercole II d'Este in Ferrara as choir master. During this time, he became famous as a composer.

  From 1560 until 1563, Rore worked for Margaret of Parma in Brussels and for her husband Ottavio Farnese in Parma.

  He left in 1563. Before him are Philip Neri, Anne of Cleves, Lucas Cranach the Younger, Injong of Joseon, Mary of Guise, and Margaret Douglas. The words on it said that Rore's name would never be forgotten.

  Music and Influence

  Rore was one of the most important composers in the mid-1500s. He was a central representative of the generation of Franco-Flemish / Netherlandish composers after Josquin who went to live and work in Italy, and who were formative in the development of the late Renaissance styles there, and he was also one of the most prominent mid-century composers of madrigals.
