From 2018 through November 2019, Palle ran for local office in the Sully district of Fairfax county in Fairfax, Virginia.

Palle is currently vice chair of campaigns and election with the Fairfax GOP, and has worked with the organization for several years.[7][8] Palle also created the political campaign coalition Phir Ek Bari Trump Ki Dusari Pari, which works to rally Indian Americans in support of the Republican Party.

Srilekha lives in Fairfax, Virginia with her husband and two children. It can help patients reduce pain, improve mobility, recover from and prevent future injuries. During her campaign, Palle's platform emphasized lower taxes, fiscal conservatism, immigration reform, responsible development, and protecting the community.

The open position, Fairfax County Board of Supervisors, was nonpartisan but Palle ran against Democratic incumbent Kathy Smith, and many of the two candidates' discussions came down to partisan approaches.[2]

Ultimately, Smith (D-Sully) won 22,259 votes (62.9%) to Palle's 13,064 (36.9%).[9][10][11] Smith's victory was part of a larger Democratic win that secured several legislative majorities across Virginia.[9] Palle plans to run for office again in 2022.

Since September of 2018, she has been a dedicated supporter and a volunteer with the Vicente Ferrer Foundation.

Srilekha knows what it means to grow up in rural India. To her surprise, he knew the organization well and encouraged her to collaborate with it.

Srilekha Reddy Palle is a healthcare executive who lives and works in Northern Virginia.[1] In 2019, she ran for election to the Fairfax CountyBoard of Supervisors against DemocratincumbentKathy Smith,[2] and she plans to run for office again in 2022. She serves her community both as the Rehabilitation Director at a major healthcare system in Metropolitan DC area and as the owner of V Care Home Healthcare Services: a company dedicated to assisting the elderly with companionship, meal preparation, housekeeping, errands, and transportation.

A member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, past Vice President of the South Asian Public Health Association and Political Advocacy Director for the Women’s Wing at the American Hindu Coalition, Srilekha is both a leader in medicine and in the Indian-American community.

Early Life and Career

Palle was born and grew up in rural India, in the town of Bethemcherla in Andhra Pradesh.

Before she married and moved to the United States, Srilekha grew up in Bethemcherla in the Rayalaseema region of Andhra Pradesh: less than 90 miles from VFF’s headquarters in India. Srilekha is currently collaborating with VFF to purchase an electrocardiograph machine (ECG) and several infusion pumps for VFF’s Hospital for Infectious Diseases in Bathalapalli.

When she heard about the Prescription for Hope program at VFF’s Annual Gala, she signed up without a second thought.

Prescription for Hope is an expertise exchange program in which healthcare professionals from around the world travel to VFF’s hospitals in India to share their wealth of knowledge with local providers. The impact of this gift will be tremendous.

Srilekha traveled to VFF’s headquarters in Anantapur and spent a week shadowing doctors and physical therapists in VFF’s hospitals and screening camps. She already had field experience in humanitarian aid from volunteering in Haiti after the 2010 earthquake.

Palle currently serves as the vice president of the National College of Healthcare Executives[3] and is the Rehabilitation Division Chair of the Healthcare Council of the National Capitol Area.[4] Palle also volunteers for the Vicente Ferrer Foundation USA (VFF), providing physical therapy at rural clinics across India.[5][6]

Political Beliefs & Involvement

Palle became a Republican in 2015, and ran for local office in 2019.

Following her marriage to entrepreneur and software engineerSrinath Palle, Palle moved to the United States and settled in Virginia. She first heard about VFF at a USA-India Global Entrepreneurship Summit in Hyderabad: an encounter that she now describes as “destiny.”

“When I heard that the Vicente Ferrer Foundation USA was working in Anantapur my eyes totally lit up,” she says.
