Under his Black Avenue Group of Companies, the young mogul owns Black Avenue Muzik, one of Ghana's most renowned record labels & music studios, which has been home to the multiple award winning BET Best African act nominee D-Black himself, the chart topping producer of the year at the 2015 VGMA's DJ Breezy, producer extraodinaire Rony Turn Me Up, newbie Afrobeats sensation Paul Noun & the sensational multiple award winning songstress Sefa’.

Before hitting 30, D-Black successfully introduced Ghana and numerous of fun lovers to one of the plushest nightclub in the city of Accra, his creation 'Club Onyx'.
He has 3 children.[4] D-Black has nine siblings. D-Black was born to a Ghanaian mother Adeline Boateng and a half Ghanaian half English father, John Derek Blackmore. The Aqua Safari Island Rave, Night Train Beach Jam and more are Livewire engineered projects as well. This pushed him to work harder to attain the success he yearned for.
Now with 5 albums (Music, Love and Life, The Revelation, Lightwork, The Smoke and Mirrors EP, Loyalty and 1 mixtape (Hunger & Thirst) under his belt, he’s been nominated for numerous awards worldwide and won in the music, hospitality and film categories of these awards.
D-Black is a former United Nations Celebrity Ambassador and Tourism Ambassador
for Ghana.
A Forbes Africa story a few years ago tipped D-Black to be one of Africa’s leading millionaire entertainment moguls.

In 15 years, D-Black also a philanthropist has donated to numerous orphanages as well as the Korlebu Children’s Ward, and financed the careers of a number of upcoming acts as well as financing the tertiary education of numerous students over the years.

After a bit of a musical hiatus, D-Black released his highly anticipated ‘Loyalty’ Album featuring U.S rap star OT Genasis, Stonebwoy, Efya, Sefa, Darko vibes & more from Ghana, Anzo from South Africa + Simi, Peruzzi , Praiz & Ice Prince from Nigeria including production from Grammy nominated producer Killbeatz, Speroach Beats, Rony Turn Me Up, DJ Breezy & more.
Smash hits on ‘Loyalty’ included the Amapiano banger ‘Enjoyment Minster’ featuring Stonebwoy & Quamina MP, ‘Sheege’ featuring Gyakie and the US collabo with OT Genasis ‘Ajei’ , Loyalty, Loving You featuring Nigeria’s Peruzzi, Stay with Simi and more.
D-Black is currently on a worldwide media tour after signing a global publishing deal with SONY MUSIC PUBLISHING whilst recording his 5th studio album in Los Angeles.
The first single off the Loyalty album ‘Enjoyment Minister’ after its April 2021 release date topped charts on every single chart show in Ghana currently peaking at Number 1 on various radio and television charts and won Collaboration of the Year at the 2022 Ghana Music Awards.
D-Black took on the moniker ‘Enjoyment Minster’ leading to the release of this record off the back of his popularity of throwing the most fun & talked about parties at his Tropical Fiesta Festival or at his club ONYX or Oasis Lounge in Cantonments.
The Second single off ‘Loyalty’ ‘ Sheege ‘ featuring Gyakie racked up 20,000,000 plus tiktok videos since its release.
THE GHANAIAN VISA (2025)
D-Black presents an amazing body of work spanning a year and a half of collaborating in and around the continent on different genres of music outside of his main hiphop sound.
From highlife to hiphop to gospel down to amapiano, experimenting with trap and reggae inspired sounds, ‘The Ghanaian Visa’ album by D-Black is a culmination of different sounds carefully curated by a vet that knows how to evoke emotion via music.

By 2019, D-Black had also opened up ‘Oasis Lounge’ a plush pool and shisha Lounge located in Cantonments, Accra known for its ambience Friday Night Raves & Sunday barbecue nights next to Club Onyx in Cantonments, Accra.
LA MAISON RESTAURANT
In 2023, D-Black opened up La Maison, Restaurant & Supperclub.
Joey B, Dat Ting, Obiba ft. Livewire Events is an events management company founded in 2015. In 2015 they produced the Bukom Banku vs Ayittey Powers boxing match at the Kumasi Sports Stadium. All radio shows air on terrestrial television 24 hours after airing on the digital radio platform. VOLCANO is an advertising agency providing full scale advertising, design & production services.
Tropical Fiesta is a weekend get away music & lifestyle experience held at various resorts around the country including Aqua Safari in Ada, Royal Senchi in Akosombo, Maaha Beach Resort in Axim & Treasure Island, Ada.
D-Black before the end of 2023, begun test transmission on air for his new radio station Enjoyment Radio and will commence free to air online public broadcast in May 2025.
