She thought it important to stress that her nomination for minister was not a reward for her dropping her judicial battle to become the country’s first elected female governor.

Alhassan who is hailed widely as Mama Taraba did not come to this role by chance.

Thereby becoming the first woman in Nigeria to become a Governor.
