Early Life and Education
Kerry Holley was raised by his maternal grandmother in the troubled south side of Chicago.

I was six years old when I first showed up at the Sue Duncan Children's Center on the South Side of Chicago.
SOA (service-oriented architecture) is a software design methodology based on structured collections of discrete software modules, known as services, that collectively provide the complete functionality of a large or complex software application.
In 2000, he was appointed IBM Distinguished Engineer and elected to IBM’s Academy of Technology that same year.
Who gets the truth?
I spent my career in rooms where technology gets built and decided, at Google, IBM, Cisco, and Optum. He works with clients to create flexible applications that enable companies to respond to rapidly changing markets. They had just bought a lot of IBM hardware, and they needed to build new systems – specifically a new banking and sales platform.

So my job isn't just to deflate the hype. And for the past decade, I've been deep in AI, leveraging machine learning and AI systems in healthcare at Optum, one of America's largest healthcare companies.
Along the way, I worked at IBM (where I became their first Black Distinguished Engineer and later an IBM Fellow), a Senior Executive at Google, and VP/CTO at Cisco.
