Bill Gates married Melinda French on January 1, 1994 in Hawaii.

He briefly reclaimed the titled in 2009 then again from 2014 to 2017. The organization has since been renamed the Gates Foundation, with Bill continuing to serve as co-chair and as a member of its board.
