Yeshua reiterates that when we receive a righteous guest, we receive the One who sent him or her, just as we receive the Father when we receive Yeshua.

When we show hospitality to a guest, our generosity welcomes the Presence of Elohim to His Garden. But if you believe not his writing, how shall you believe my words?"

In addition to His clear instructions that He did not come to do away with the law (Torah) but to bring it to its fullest application, Yeshua also wanted His disciples to understand His mission from the foundation of the Tanakh (Old Testament):

Luke 24:25-27, 32, 44-45 "Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken: ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory?

Matthew 3:16; 28:18-20

• That the Jew and the Gentile are to keep the seventh day (Saturday) Sabbath, for it is a sign between Yahweh and His people throughout the ages, for it is an everlasting covenenant. Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven."

Luke 16:16-17 "The law and the prophets until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presses into it.

Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Instead, this covenant included terms and conditions of obedience, as well as consequences for disobedience. This is the practice of the Temple:

Behold, bless the LORD, all servants of the LORD,
Who serve by night in the house of the LORD! We can be a worthy guest…and friend…who will bless the Garden.

To get a better handle on this trait, let’s take a careful look at what hospitality is.

As He was the benefactor, yet served the undeserving creation, so we must restore our sense of hospitality to welcome Him first like a “guest” so that His Presence no longer must ascend and descend due to sin, idolatry, adultery.

Good hospitality creates a little sanctuary for blessing.

Good guests respect the sanctuary and bless the host’s service.

This is the fractal of the greater principle of the Sanctuary and the Garden; the host blesses the guest who blessed the host.

In addition, according to Zechariah 14:16-19, at least one Scriptural holiday, Tabernacles, will be observed in themillennial reign of Messiah Yeshua, and there will be adverse consequences to those nations who rebel against observing the Feast of Tabernacles.

Other texts that support the eternal nature of Yahweh’s appointed holidays and Sabbath are the visions of the millennial Temple in Ezekiel 44:23-24, 45:13-25, the prophecies of Isaiah 56:1-8, 66:17-23, and I Corinthians 5:6-7.

Ps 115:12

A righteous guest seeks a righteous home for hospitality, and he/she has the authority to bless that home with peace:

• “Do not acquire gold, or silver, or copper for your money belts, or a bag for your journey, or even two coats, or sandals, or a staff; for the worker is worthy of his support. Are there consequences for being inhospitable?

The answer to that question is found in the nine times “Sodom and Gomorra” are mentioned in the New Testament, or Brit HaChadasha.

I will go down now and see whether they have done entirely as the outcry, which has come to Me indicates; and if not, I will know.” (18:20-21)

When we are inhospitable and stingy, especially to righteous visitors or the poor and distressed, their cry has a direct line to the Heavenly ear. Whoever does not receive you, nor heed your words, as you go out of that house or that city, shake the dust off your feet.

And is it hospitable to them?

Somewhere in this world, your name is proclaimed to Heaven,
either in frustration, agony, and pain,
or in gratefulness, relief, and consolation.
