Lakshman Narayan was offered to play the leading role in Bharathiraja's romantic drama film Annakodi (2013), portraying a villager opposite Karthika Nair.[2] Playing the titular role of Kodiveeran, before the film changed its name, the project went through several changes in cast and script and took two years to make.

He did his schooling in Bala Vidyamandir Adayar in Chennai and then moved on to further education in Theni.
