He equipped the University with such modern Information Communication Technology (ICT) facilities that resulted in the new university being recently ranked webometrically as number 17 in Nigeria, way ahead of most Federal and State universities. He served as Dean of Student Affairs for several years before being appointed in January 2000 as the sole Deputy Vice Chancellor of ESUT.
He also bagged a Master of Science degree in Metallurgical Engineering and a Ph.D. While a student, he was elected into the honours society for engineering and for mathematics. Nebo continued to serve within the Church as an ordained minister, rising to the position of Provost of the Diocesan Cathedral Church, before retiring at age 70. It is instructive that both SSANU and NANS are constantly at loggerheads with leaders of Nigerian Universities, and for the two associations to applaud Nebo’s works as a University administrator, he really must have done well in his tenure.

He is currently the Pro Chancellor and Chairman of Governing Council of Coal City University, Enugu.
