In a way, Fraga is the great winner of these elections, after Felipe González, since he managed to increase his political force from 9 to 106 deputies and from less than one million to more than five million votes.
Fraga had a position of his own that echoed by itself within his party.

As minister spokesman he gives the case all the publicity he can. Galicia remained within it until its fragmentation occurred in the fifth century. That same year he was appointed ambassador of Spain to the United Kingdom, a position he held until Franco's death, selling an open image of Spain abroad and counting on the socialist Fernando Morán, who would later be foreign minister, as consul general in London and with José Joaquín Puig de la Bellacasa as embassy advisor.
He was married (his wife is now deceased) and has five children. and also Galicians.
His transition to the new political geography of democracy was not though without problems. He actively promoted the development of the tourism industry and the creation of roadside hotels, which led to a significant increase in tourism revenue.
A political club called GODSA (Gabinete de Orientación y Documentación, S.A.) was founded around the personality of Fraga, which since 1974 will become one of the political associations (the name of political parties is still avoided) that allows the so-called spirit of February 12, with the name of Democratic Reform.
