Other commissions include the creation of graphics for a new identity and for the New York Public Library, as well as for the New Victory Theatre. He has designed architectural graphics and sign systems for various institutions, environmental graphics and exhibitions. He has previously served as president of the New York chapter of the American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA).
Steff Geissbuhler has been the recipient of numerous design awards, including the AIGA Medal, the US Federal Achievement Design Award, the US Presidential and Director of Education Award from the Alliance Graphique Internationale, the title of Professor Emeritus from the AIGA New York, and two terms on the national board of the AIGA.

Steff Geissbühler is among America’s most celebrated designers of integrated brand and corporate identity programs.
In 2005, Mr. Geissbuhler was awarded the American Institute of Graphic Arts Medal in recognition of his significant and sustained contributions to design excellence and the advancement of the profession.
His clientele has included prominent entities such as NBC, Merck, Time Warner, National Public Radio, Telemundo, Union Pacific, and Conrad Hotels, among others.
Steff Geissbuhler was born in 1942 and received his education at the School of Art and Design in Basel, Switzerland. Steff’s work has been honored with the American Institute of Graphic Arts Medal for his sustained contribution to design excellence and the development of the profession.
When I was eight years old we moved to Basel. Additionally, he has taught at the Philadelphia College of Art, The Cooper Union New York, Yale University School of Art and Architecture (New Haven, Connecticut), and the Rhode Island School of Design (Providence, Rhode Island).
