Recent novels include The Noel Letters (2020), The Christmas Promise (2021), and A Christmas Memory (2022). They're working with us so we can help these kids. We need to address this and we are addressing it.

Four of Richard’s books have been produced as television movies. Evans is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, sometimes casually called the Mormon or LDS Church.

Education

Evans graduated from Cottonwood High School in Murray City, Utah. Among his novels are the best-selling Michael Vey novels for young adults.

These young people are essentially released from the system as "adults" at age 18.

The next year The Christmas Box hit #2 on the New York Times bestseller list, inciting an auction for the publishing rights among the world's top publishing houses. It's our hope to make some measurable change and help these kids, so we've partnered up with the National Youth Runaway Hotline.

Evans won the American Mothers book award, two first-place Storytelling World awards, The Romantic Times Best Women's Novel of the Year Award, the German Leserpreis Gold Award for Romance, and three RCC Wilbur Awards. To contact every youth in the foster care system in America who've aged out of the system, and eventually to have mentors for all these youth.

Background

Richard Paul Evans was born on October 11, 1962, in Salt Lake City, Utah. There are currently more than 35 million copies of his books in print worldwide, translated into more than 24 languages. When he isn’t writing, Richard loves to spend time with his family at his ranch in southern Utah where he paintballs, drives four wheelers, and makes the world’s best crepes.

Like Michael Vey, Richard also has Tourette’s Syndrome.

In 2011, Richard began writing Michael Vey, a #1 New York Times bestselling young adult series that has won more than a dozen awards.

Richard is the founder of The Christmas Box International, an organization devoted to maintaining emergency children’s shelters and providing services and resources for abused, neglected, or homeless children and young adults.

Evans has written much about becoming debt-free and practicing wise financial principles. While working as an advertising executive, and after losing an election, he wrote a Christmas story for his children. In 2000, Evans received the Washington Times Humanitarian of the Century Award and the Volunteers of America National Empathy Award for his work helping abused children.

Evans has won several awards for his writings including the American Mother Book Award, two first place Storytelling World awards and Romantic Times award for Best Women's Fiction. All of his writing upholds solid Christian values.
