Sullivan, the publication examines Le Parc's leadership role as a founder of the artists collaborative Groupe de Recherche d'Art Visuel (GRAV), his frequent exchanges with members of the Paris avant-garde from the late 1950s on, his influence on other Latin American artists, as well as his writings on art and society.

Featuring a Critical Anthology dating back to 1967, an Opening Essay by Jean de Loisy, an entire section dedicated to Julio Le Parc’s Writings and over 600 Color Plates, this monograph takes us on a journey through the innovative and ground-breaking work of the artist, thus surveying the pivotal « Before Paris » era before diving into the Surfaces and Color Surfaces periods, and continuing its exploration with Contortions, Light, Installations, Games, Alchemies, and Le Parc’s Virtual Museum.

After studying at the Academy of Fine Arts in Buenos Aires, notably under Lucio Fontana, Le Parc leaves Argentina to establish himself in Paris, France, in 1958, where he still resides and works.
