If you enjoy romantic dramas, I would recommend renting The Notebook, A Walk to Remember, or Dear John. In the beginning of the film, Zac Efron's character walks from Colorado to Missouri. Despite her initial mistrust and the complications in her life, a romance develops between them, giving Logan hope that Beth could be much more than his good luck charm.

Are you feeling like you want to cry a bunch?

The latter half kind of derails it, and another tragic happenstance becomes the throughline.

With Amanda Seyfried and Channing Tatum portraying the main characters, the film’s director Lasse Hallström knew what he was doing. I guess not.

However, despite its many negative aspects, Safe Haven is still enjoyable to watch.

Okay, dying seems to be Nicholas Sparks’ thing. Even Zac Efron's character is too mysterious for his own good.

The rest of the storyline was quite unique and enjoyable. Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth’s real life love story… Boy, wasn’t that a journey?

And, hey, the amount of good music we’ve gotten from that alone should’ve put this flick at the top. Even with tragic twists, all these stories have one thing in common: love.

The Best of Me is a real tearjerker that’ll have you on the edge of your seat. So long as the movie can stand on its own feet, it deserves recognition. The author definitely has a formula in his work, but this one is way too predictable and just doesn’t have an interesting plot. Nicolas Sparks is one of the few authors who deliver consistently good plots.

Probably not.

The combination of an abusive ex-husband and a dead ex-wife assures an interesting dynamic. In the end, specific problems make this movie much worse than it should have been.

The main fallback of the story is the characters. On that ground, The Lucky One does hold its own.
