Jersey Shore Star Vinny Guadagnino Just Showed Off His Weight Loss Transformation on Instagram

Vinny Guadagnino, star of reality TV phenomenon Jersey Shore and dating show A Double Shot at Love, just posted a "before and after" photo on Instagram showing his dramatic weight loss progress.

Guadagnino, who follows the ketogenic diet, then went into detail about how he looks at calories and food and noted he personally prefers a diet consisting of "low carb/ moderate protein/ high fat with #cleanketo." 

He then explained he follows this plan "for a few reasons." First, he claimed he doesn't "react well to sugar." 

"It bloats me, makes me feel groggy and lethargic, and I feel that it makes me fat easily," Guadagnino wrote in the post.

He also described himself as "an Italian foodie" and stated he loves the taste of food.

"So I need fat in my diet to create delicious meals while still eating clean (ie.

"I don't walk around starving because the food is sustainable.

Vinny put his thin body on full display when he starred as a Chippendales dancer.

Vinny has been open about his work for Chippendales, as it has been a popular topic among him and his friends on the MTV show.

He showed off some of his style when his co-stars attended his opening night at Chippendales in Las Vegas during a 2019 episode of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation.

He even credited being a “Chippendales stripper” for the moves he used on The Masked Dancer.

After his identity was revealed, the 33-year-old reality star said: “The Hammerhead is not who I am in real life at all so I got to go crazy with the anonymity and live it up.

“I occasionally have a residency as a stripper at Chippendales in Las Vegas which explained the Vegas clue.

Looking slightly rounder around his face, the star donned black sweatpants as he ditched his shirt to show his first angle.

Guadagnino credits the ketogenic diet with helping him lose weight and maintain his toned physique.

It’s no surprise Vinny has been getting into shape, after competing on the gruelling season 31 of Dancing With the Stars.

Vinny said much of his downfall was due to him being an “Italian foodie” who just loves a good meal.

“My genetics make me gain weight easily especially to high sugar/carb food.

“If you eat a surplus of calories a week you will gain weight and if you eat less calories than you burn you will usually lose weight,” he said.

He went on to explain more about his philosophy on weight loss.

“So if you figure out how many calories you need to eat a day and be in a deficit, you will lose weight.

"I was the king of yo-yo dieting. I don't walk around starving because the food is sustainable. I enjoy fasting so I need food that will fill me up during my fasts. The question is, what types of foods are those calories made up of?
