Tanay Gajjar was born 2 September 1973 in Mumbai. Also, besides a studio engineer Tanay has performed live with great artists such as Kavita Krishnamurthy, Shreya Ghoshal, shubha mudgai, L Subramaniam, akriti Kakkar, Sunidhi Chauhan, KK, etc.
He has a good grasp of different classical and semi-classical, pop, fusion, national and international music.

Apart from working in studios, Tanay has also worked with various music directors of Indian industry as a sound editor, mixer, sound designer, sound and background scorer and a masterer.

He has received an IIFA( Indian international Film Awards) award, a Sahara Sangeet Award, a Zee cine Award, and an IRAA (Indian Recording Arts & Artists) award. Following this, he became the head of AVA entertainment Pvt. Ltd. which is India's leading sound recording studio in the year 2000 and worked for 12 years.

Again taking a break of three years, he worked as a song mixer and music recording engineer in the queen of katwe and mirzya.

Even on reaching the peak of his career and one of the pioneers of sound engineering he still works and designs as well as manages and controls sounds and vibrations for a recording studio, mini and home theatres. He started his career in BR Films Studio in 1995.
Two years after that, He then joined Sumi Audio Vision where he headed the audio studio for 2 years.
He currently tours with 2 of bollywoods leading singers., Sunidhi Chauhan & KK.
Beyond that, he designs and provides acoustical consultation for Recording Studios, Mini theaters and Home Theater solutions as well as Live Sound Reinforcement. He worked as a background mixing engineer in black which hit the cinemas in 2005. 2000 came with two more releases titled monsoon wedding and gadar: Ek prem katha.
2001 again was one such year with Devdas and hum Pyar tmhi se kar baithe.
