Early Life and Education

After completing her high school education at West Aurora High School in Illinois, Katic ranked in the top ten out of 700 students in her graduating class.

Katic started taking lessons in classical acting, Shakespeare, stagecraft, ballet, Isshin-ryu karate, and screen fighting at the Goodman School of Drama in Chicago, belly dancing at the Royal Academy of Dance in Canada, and honing her acting skills at Columbia College.

Throughout her career, Katic has appeared in numerous theater productions, including "Burn This," "The Seagull," "Closer," "Uncommon Ground," "A Christmas Carol," "Rumors," "Richard III," "Romeo and Juliet," and many more.

In 1999, Katic made her on-screen debut in Philippe Bergeron's short film "Acid Freaks." Since then, she has worked on various films and television series, including the multi-part project "The Handler" (as Mariella), "Alias," "The Shield," and "JAG."

In 2005, Katic portrayed Nada in the series "The Huntress," showcasing the tough everyday life of a female detective.
