Rajani was born into a Hindu family and converted to Christianity.
He joined his brothers’ musical group in the 1960s, which became The Jackson 5.
Once Michael joined as lead singer and performer of The Jackson 5, they were on the fast track to fame and fortune. He won eight Grammy Awards for “Thriller,” including Album of the Year and Record of the Year.
He fulfilled his dream as “Thriller” launched him into superstardom. Michael’s voice, combined with his signature dance moves, entertained and thrilled audiences. However, Michael’s talent was evident from a very young age and with his father’s encouragement, Michael started his career at the age of five. The organization worked with street children and advocated for children's interests across the country.
He then married Debbie Rowe with whom he had two children, Michael Joseph Jackson II (known as Prince Jackson) and Paris Jackson. For secondary school he went to Moshi, Tanzania Tanzania, on the foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro. His father worked as a crane operator in a steel mill and his mother at a Sears department store. Rakesh stepped down as executive director at the end of 2007 but continued some work with the organization through its Board until 2009.
