He developed the first Innovation Council at Maxim Integrated with the intention of inspiring the development of disruptive technologies and allowing for opportunities to “think outside the box.” Mr. Parvarandeh has been instrumental in the development of several startups, such as Automotive BU which he grew to well over $100 million while serving as CTO.
He has extensive experience with mergers and acquisitions and has evaluated numerous targets from a technology perspective. Over the years Pirooz has been an industry leader in developing new technologies. In addition, Mr. Parvarandeh served on the board of directors of InvenSense Inc., a publically traded company from 2009 to 2011.
He has been active in the IEEE where he has served in the Technology Directions sub-committee of ISSCC for the past several years.
He also led Maxim Labs which is chartered with developing disruptive technologies that have a 3+ year time horizon.
In early 2015, he moved on from Maxim to pursue new professional challenges. As Group President, he has led new product development activities, and has had P&L responsibility for a number of Business Units whose aggregate revenues were approximately $800M/yr.
He led the creation of Maxim’s Automotive Business Unit from the ground up.
He was a dedicated employee of Maxim Integrated for 27 years, diligently working through technical and management positions to executive-level roles. As CTO he championed innovation, and led advanced technology development organizations that provided foundational technologies for many of Maxim’s products.
