He is the son of Mexican-American actor and comedian Paul Rodriguez Sr. and the brother of professional skateboarder and actor, Paul Rodriguez Jr. Growing up in a family of entertainers, Paul was exposed to the world of skateboarding at a young age. In 2017 Paul was certified as a Buteyko Practitioner with two leading world organisations.

Paul's mission, in writing his book, is to liberate those millions of people suffering from sleep apnoea from their breathless sleep.

He trained with Patrick McKeown, author and founder of Buteyko Clinic International.

In 2019 Paul was certified as a Practitioner of Applied Mindfulness and teaches a 4 week online course on Mindful Buteyko Breathing. He won the X Games Street Skateboarding gold medal in 2003 and 2004, and the silver medal in 2005. Paul Rodriguez, born on December 31, 1984, is a professional skateboarder from Tarzana, California.

In 2018 Paul published a 2nd edition of his book. Over ten years ago he began to enjoy refreshing sleep without needing to rely on CPAP. So dramatic was the improvement in his health - he gained renewed energy and lost significant weight - he was inspired to write "Breathless Sleep...no more.
