She also appeared as a guest judge on episodes 22 and 23 of Indian Voice which was aired in October 2012 on Mazhavil Manorama, a Malayalam language TV channel, and as a guest judge for the finals of season 6 of Raj TV's Raja Geetham, which was held on 6 August 2015 at Kamarajar Arangam, and subsequently aired on 15 August 2015.
Tanujasree and Tejasree, their two daughters, have also accompanied their mother on stage in concert, and gave their first performance on television during a guest appearance on Airtel Super Singer Junior, a musical talent TV show telecast by Vijay TV.
Nithyasree's first public Carnatic performance was at the age of 14.
Her maternal grandfather was the mridangam maestro, Palghat Mani Iyer. She is also a noted playback singer in the South Indian Film industry and has recorded several successful songs for music directors such as AR Rahman and Vidyasagar.
Nithyasree was bestowed with numerous awards and titles over the years, a few of which include Kalaimamani by the Government of Tamil Nadu in 2000, Padma Sadhana, Isai Kalai Tharakai, Tamil Isai Thilakam and so on.

Nithyasree Mahadevan was born into a family that was dominated by great Carnatic performers and artists.
Her playback debut song "Kannodu Kaanbadhellam" became an instant hit after the film's release, and won her the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Female Playback Singer for 1998.
After her instant success in 1998, Nithyasree began recording more songs for A. R. Rahman in the same combination, like "Minsara Kanna" for the 1999 film Padayappa, "Sowkiyama Kannae" for the 1999 film Sangamam, and "Manmatha Maasam" for the 2001 film Parthale Paravasam.
K. learned music from Pattammal and was a part of his musical performances since childhood. She later appeared as a guest judge in several episodes and rounds of Zee Thamizh's Sa Re Ga Ma Pa 2009 Challenge, before appearing as a judge for STAR Vijay in seasons 2, 3, and 4 of Airtel Super Singer Junior, seasons 3, 4, and 5 of Airtel Super Singer, and the debut episode of Super Singer Celebrity Season.
K. Jayaraman and D. K. Pattammal were known for singing and popularising the compositions of Papanasam Sivan, having learnt them directly from the composer himself. The concert lasted for one hour and was a highlight of the well-known and renowned Carnatic artists D.S. K. Pattammal, D. K. Jayaraman, Vijay Siva, R. K. Sivakumar, K. V. It was performed with the participation of celebrities such as Narayanaswamy.
Papanasam Sivan and Gopalakrishna Bharti were also on stage singing songs such as Amamma Lage.
She first appeared as a guest judge in Sun TV's Sapthaswarangal. Nithyasree has continued this tradition. In 2014, Nithyasree was a permanent judge in season 3 of Raj TV's Carnatic music reality-talent show, Tanishq Swarna Sangeetham, having previously appeared as a guest judge at various levels in earlier seasons of the show. Nithyasree learned music from her mother and was also a disciple of D.
K. Pattammal. They have two daughters, Tanujashree and Tejashree, who have also accompanied her on stage in concerts.
The two albums were compiled by Papanasam’s albums. In addition to performing as a Carnatic musician and singer, he also performed numerous devotional songs along with patriotic songs and songs from films and composed several patriotic songs for concerts to mark the occasion celebration of 50 years of independence for India.

It was in 1990 that A.R.
Raghuvan made her a screenplay performer in the film “Jeans”. Mahadevan, the husband who was extremely loving of his mother, began to suffer from depression following her passing away. Similarly, in 1999, her album "BHAIRAVI" was released by Charsur Digital Workstation which solely consisted of a Ragam Tanam Pallavi in ragas containing the name "Bhairavi".

She has performed in every major concert hall in India and performed across the world, including the USA, Canada, Australia, Germany, France, Singapore, and Malaysia, and spread the splendor and awe of Tamil music. Her father, an accomplished mridangist, and her nieces have actively supported her musical journey.
Nithyasree was married to V.
Mahadevan until his unfortunate passing in 2012. In 2017, she appeared as a special guest for the debut season of Zee Tamil's Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Lil Champs.
Nithyasree was also a permanent judge in reality TV music talent shows. Her family has a rich musical heritage, with her paternal grandmother, D. K. Pattammal, and grand-uncle, D. K. Jayaraman, being prominent Carnatic vocalists.
