Because of his boldness, enthusiasm, and defiance, Lestat’s seniors refer to him affectionately as “The Brat Prince”, a title of which he is very fond.
This causes the vampires of the coven to call Lestat an “Outlaw” (166). Although he is illiterate as a mortal man, he learns to read and loves literature as a vampire. Lestat's hold over Louis culminates into the ultimate betrayal.

There's Nothing Else. Magnus dies by suicide by jumping into the fire after creating Lestat, so Lestat never learns the rules of the coven that Magnus left, the Children of Darkness. Captivated by Lestat's vitality and beauty, Magnus abducted him to a hidden tower and forcibly drained his blood before offering his own wrist, transforming Lestat into a vampire against his will.
Unlike traditional gothic vampires who embodied pure evil and isolation, Lestat's flamboyant personality, egotism, and embrace of immortality as a stage for personal drama infused the genre with sensuality and existential allure. For a while, he sees life as “the Savage Garden,” filled with beauty and death.
Lestat exhibits a strong altruistic nature at several points in the series.
He is tall, blond, and defiant. This perilous occupation honed his survival skills and rebellious spirit, but poverty persisted, prompting him at age seventeen to leave Auvergne for Paris in pursuit of greater opportunities.
He was turned at the age of 20, and retains his youthful look despite his immortal age.

Lestat was born on November 7, 1758, as the seventh son of the marquis d'Auvergne in the Auvergne region of France. In both instances, he is returned to his family.
