Main article: No Secrets (girl group)

In 2001, Jessi, then known as Jessica Fried, joined a girl group, No Secrets, singing lead alongside Angel Faith.

She joined the group 'No Secrets' at the age of 15 in 2001. Check this for the opening verse to “King”: “How strange your life would be / If you were on your knees / If I was your lord and you called me Majesty / Next, if I took off all your clothes / would you feel just like a ho? She was a former member of Jive Records' No Secrets and has since pursued a solo career.

Early Years

Jessi began dancing at the age of 2 and took lessons in ballet, jazz, tap, and hip-hop.

“Girls want to be taken seriously,” she says, “but they also want a night out where they can have fun and get crazy.”
Malay, who works a playfully provocative blend of sultry R&B vocal stylings, hip-hop edginess, and indelible pop smarts, delivers a club-friendly single “Gimme” featuring Lil Scrappy.

For Malay, who helped co-write four of the current tracks, it has been a whirlwind of writing and recording. The majority of the tracks were written and produced by songwriting/production team TOJ (Andy Goldmark and Bruce Roberts), who have worked with artists such as Cher, Whitney Houston, ‘N Sync, Donna Summer, and Elton John.

“It’s a really good balance of smooth, urban hip-hop choreography and seductive, authoritative moves that suit me really well. She was always singing and dancing growing up and was always musically talented. I want people to get that strong female message from me, but I also want them to have fun with my music.” Get ready for Jessi Malay, coming soon.|

Jessica sang the lead vocal on about half the songs on the group's self-titled debut album.
