James, son of James M.
Gordon & Mary Mckenzie, was born on 27 August 1868 in Fodderty, Ross and Cromarty, Scotland.[1]
In the 1871 census James (age 2) was the son of James Murray Gordon in Braban Porter Lodge, Fodderty, Ross and Cromarty.[2]
In the 1900 census James (age 31), Carpenter, was the married head of household in Hartford, Hartford, Connecticut.[3]
In the 1910 census James (age 40), Carpenter, was the married head of household in Hartford Ward 6, Hartford, Connecticut, United States.[4]
In the 1920 census James (age 50), Carpenter, was the married head of household in Hartford Ward 6, Hartford, Connecticut.[5]
James died (age 52) in Hartford, Hartford, Connecticut.[6][7]

Early Days
James May started his career as a young Journalist and wrote for Autocar magazine in the early 1980s.

After he was fired from Autocar, he became a writer for publications such as Car Magazine, Top Gear magazine, and The Daily Telegraph.
