James, son of James M.

Gordon & Mary Mckenzie, was born on 27 August 1868 in Fodderty, Ross and Cromarty, Scotland.^[1]

In the 1871 census James (age 2) was the son of James Murray Gordon in Braban Porter Lodge, Fodderty, Ross and Cromarty.^[2]

In the 1900 census James (age 31), Carpenter, was the married head of household in Hartford, Hartford, Connecticut.^[3]

In the 1910 census James (age 40), Carpenter, was the married head of household in Hartford Ward 6, Hartford, Connecticut, United States.^[4]

In the 1920 census James (age 50), Carpenter, was the married head of household in Hartford Ward 6, Hartford, Connecticut.^[5]

James died (age 52) in Hartford, Hartford, Connecticut.^[6][7]

   Early Days

   James May started his career as a young Journalist and wrote for Autocar magazine in the early 1980s.

   After he was fired from Autocar, he became a writer for publications such as Car Magazine, Top Gear magazine, and The Daily Telegraph.

   James May then became a co-presenter for Top Gear in 1999.

   On March 25, 2015, the BBC did not renew Clarkson’s contract with Top Gear.

   He is currently a co-presenter of Amazon Prime’s The Grand Tour along with Clarkson and Hammond. 

   In October 2006, he obtained a light aircraft pilot's license after training at White Waltham Airfield.

   The author transmits a sense of unease even when describing his successful life-saving innovations. Technically, it was my dad’s car, and I drove it on his insurance.

   By 1992, he was already in the post of sub-editor. Murray worked in different times to our own but he lived by scruples, later formulated by Francis Moore, of introducing innovative surgery in a stepwise fashion after extensive laboratory testing.

   The 50th anniversary of the report of the first series of kidney transplants is an opportune moment to review what Murray actually said and did.

   That it does so in a manner that will excite the lay reader as well as satisfy the experienced surgeon is a tribute to its author, Shelley McKellar, a historian at the University of Western Ontario. Dismissal of Murray as a maverick technician or failure to cite his transplant publications cannot be justified.

   Murray’s contributions to the development of surgery should not be forgotten.
