Born, Refilwe Mooketsi but known to South African’s as the 1st Lady of Motswako - Fifi Cooper.

Following high school, she studied Media at Boston Media House, equipping her with valuable skills for the entertainment industry.

Career

Fifi Cooper started singing at the age of eight and began her professional music career in 2008 by featuring on Mo’Molemi’s album Motzamai: Rebel With a Pause.

Producers on the album include; Tweezy and Lunatic and Ruff.

“2015 was 20fifi, 2016 is still me! During this period Fifi Cooper indulged in multiple music genres varying from Jazz, choral to gospel.

Growing up Fifi spent her afternoons at Mafikeng Mmabana Cultural Center where she fine-tuned her singing and dancing skills.

Now, as they prepare for their next collaboration, there’s no doubt that their upcoming release will spark renewed excitement and discussions within the South African hip-hop community. Fifi Cooper acclaims her late farther as the person who introduced her to the music Industry. It’s an honour to represent female hip-hop in SA and more greatly to be an example to young black mothers, our children are not obstacles to our dreams, in-fact they become the reason we can achieve unimaginable dreams as women.”

Refilwe Boingotlo Moeketsi, popularly known as Fifi Cooper, was born on October 24, 1991, in Montshiwa, Mahikeng, South Africa.

She is a renowned South African rapper, singer, and songwriter, often hailed as the “Motswako First Lady.” Fifi gained widespread recognition with her 2010 rap hit “Chechela Morago” and cemented her status in the music scene with her acclaimed debut album 20FIFI released in 2015.
