Barbara Mori was born in Montevideo, Uruguay, to a Uruguayan father, Carlos Mori, and a Japanese-Mexican mother, Yuriko Mori.

Her parents divorced when she was just three years old. She is known for her role as Linda in Kites (2010) opposite Hrithik Roshan. She portrayed Patricia "Pato" Arizmendi, a character who navigates complex family dynamics.
