Dawn Wells, who played the wholesome Mary Ann among a misfit band of shipwrecked castaways on the 1960s sitcom "Gilligan's Island", died on 30th December 2020 Wednesday of causes related to Covid-19, her publicist said.

Aside from her work in the film and theater industry as an actress, she was also a producer for American Christmas (2019), Return to the Batcave: The Misadventures of Adam and Burt (2003), Surviving Gilligan’s Island: The Incredibly True Story of the Longest Three Hour Tour in History (2001), and Dawn Wells: Reel Adventures (1997).

While serving as Australia's Castaway Correspondent she interviewed talents such as Robin Williams, Mel Gibson, Tom Hanks, Eddie Murphy, Rene Russo, Ron Howard, Richard Donner, and Julia Roberts.
