- Why did you create this work?
This work was commissioned by Gary Cochran, art director of The Economist’s 1843 magazine, for a 2024 article titled “How the proud boys are prepping for a second Trump term”. - How were your illustrations used?
The illustrations were used in the summer print magazine, on the website and the app as well as on social media to promote the article.

Crowded with January 6 rioters and prominent MAGA figures, her work captures the chaos of both January 6 and the political era it has defined.Cristiana uses a graphic collage technique to illustrate complicated subject matters.
