Babushan refereed as an excellent classical singer since the age of 10, and his parent particularly mother Aparajita desires him as an honest singer rather than an actor.

As an actor, Babushan Mohanty started his acting career in 2009 with the movie ‘Romeo – The lover boy’ under the direction of veteran actor Hara Patnaik.

His father, Uttam Mohanty, is a renowned actor in the Odia film industry, and his mother, Aparajita Mohanty, is also a well-known actress. Satpathy was seen trying to drag her husband out of the car.
When he was continuing 2nd year of +2 Science in age of 18, he started his career as an Actor in film "Romeo, The Lover Boy" with the banner 'Brajraj Movies'.

He has a melodious voice and has released several music albums, which have been well-received by his fans.
