Background

Prince was born Prince Kudakwashe Musarurwa on 6 December 1988.[2] He went to Hatfield Primary School and Churchill Boys High School.[2] He also completed his musical studies at the Zimbabwe College of Music.

He however became popular after the release of his duet with Pah ChiheraRunonzi Rudo. Prince won an award for best undiscovered talent at the annually held AEA – USA awards held in New Jersey.

Prince Musarurwa was an Afro-Jazz artist who became a household name after featuring on Pah Chihera's Runonzi Rudo song in 2013.

In 2011, he released his first album, Kurarama which was a flop. After finishing high school he went to the Zimbabwe College of Music. He sang in his school choir, spending much of his time playing his father"s acoustic guitar. Instruments Acoustic Guitar Hosho Mbira.

Musarurwa was born and raised in Zimbabwe, his career began within the family, starting with August Musarurgwa, composer of the song Skokiaan.[1] He sang in his school choir, spending much of his time playing his father's acoustic guitar.

Career

While growing up his musical influences included Oliver Mtukudzi, Salif Keita and Hugh Masekela. 2014 so him Début at the Hifa (Harare festival of Arts) 2014 as well a tour to Uganda in the summer of 2014 performing at famous Gatto Matto restaurant Uganda , Kampala, In 2015 he released his 4th Audio Album Chiga Chikuru and also he had his Début tour of the United Kingdom performing at T Chances Music Centre London and the Drum In Birmingham.

According to reports he died from lung cancer. After this he recorded his first album called Kurarama in 2011 , followed by another album titled Garamuberevere in 2012. 2016 Has seen Prince have a Début tour of the United States, performing at the Shrine World Music Venue & Madiba Restaurant and Silvana in New York, were he shared the stage with Leopoldo F.

Fleming a musician, composer, lyricist, and arranger, who has played, recorded, toured with a cornucopia of other great artists such as Nina Simone, Miriam Makeba, Angélique Kidjo, Simone Kelly, Harry Belafonte and many more. While growing up his musical influences included Oliver Mtukudzi, Salif Keita and Hugh Masekela.

Background

Musarurwa was born and raised in Zimbabwe, his career began within the family, starting with August Musarurgwa, composer of the song Skokiaan.

It was reported that he was set to record his duet with Naledi Kaisara, a Motswana singer who is popularly known as Slizer who was once reported to be Peter Moyo's girlfriend in February 2014 [3] on his new album Chiga Chikuru which was to be released in September 2014.[4] In May 2014, he performed at the 2014 edition of the Southern Africa Music and Arts Festival held in London in the United Kingdom together with Thomas Mapfumo and Jah Prayzah.[5] Prince has also performed at the Harare International Festival of the Arts (HIFA) editions.[5]

He was the grandson of the late Augustine Musarurwa the Skokiaan singer [1] and was also Pah Chihera's uncle.

His third album, Gogodera which was released in 2013, also increased his popularity. He claims that he started singing at a tender age. After finishing high school he went to the Zimbabwe College of Music.
