In a nutshell, that's the recipe for the improbable secret high-wire act brought to life in Topher Payne's darkly comic Perfect Arrangementfrom the award winning Dezart Performs of Palm Springs. There is enough fascination with those Wall Street Titans that it could have easily been accomplished.
Jumping from 1940 to 1980 to focus on a couple of mundane characters that certainly don't fill the same strength of name as those in the first 6 episodes was just a bad choice and totally changes the atmosphere.
Also, whose idea was it to put a rap song as the intro to each episode?
Classic recounting of the privileged few taking advantage of the many. Finally some meaningful insights into the scrupleless world of american finance. Set against the backdrop of the 1950s "Red Scare" and the burgeoning gay rights movement, the play runs January 11 - 20 at thePearl McManus Theater (at the historic Palm Springs Woman's Club / 314 S Cahuilla Road, Downtown Palm Springs) and is directed by Dezart Performs founding artistic director Michael Shaw.

Mean girls, churches, and government have always been exceptionally good at shaming.
Photo Flash: Murder is in the Air with DIAL 'M' for MURDER at the Lonny Chapman Theatre
by A.A. Cristi - Jun 29, 2017
The Group Rep at the Lonny Chapman Theatre presents Frederick Knott's 'Dial 'M' for Murder' directed by Bruce Kimmel, produced by Mannette Antill for the Group Rep.
In this mystery thriller play that inspired Hitchcock's suspense classic, a cunning man marries a wealthy woman for her money and plans to murder her to get her fortune. BEYOND distracting, laughable in a sad way, and-I am sure-inaccurate.

Shame is solely the product of 'agreed upon' societal 'norms'; if we don't fit into any given box then we have an Achilles heel, something others can use to hurt or destroy us. Totally out of place.

Painful to Watch...
I seldom stop watching a documentary because I always learn something, but this one was the great exception.
It focuses on Wall Street magnates like JP Morgan and his son Jack Morgan, Lehman, Merrill, Lynch, Goldman, Sachs, Kennedy and the formation of Wall Street.
It delves into the 'Wild West' of its formation before government regulation and how the bankers themselves took on the responsibility of propping markets in rocky periods, much as the Federal Reserve does today.
