“When I made that album, I didn’t want to do overdubs. I couldn’t even look at my guitar for a long time, but now I’m clean and grateful for the opportunities Partisan has given me.”
“I saw Chris perform in the back of a club in New York in 2006,” says Tim Putnam, Partisan Records’ co-founder. The album opener, “Happy Sad” sets the stage for all that follows.

They created a relaxed atmosphere in the studio that gaveDenny’s vocals a sharp, visceral presence. That’s all I needed to started writing songs.”
After high school, Denny met a band called Parachute Woman. He danced his first solos during the annual performances: "Yondering" by John Neumeier in 2000 and the role of Franz in "Coppelia" choreographed by Pierre Lacotte in 2001.
After his acceptance into the Paris Opera Ballet Corps de Ballet in September 2001, Ganio participated in a diverse repertoire, including "Notre-Dame de Paris" and "Claudio" by Petit, "Coppelia" by Patrice Bart, "La Bayadere," "Don Quixote," "Swan Lake" by Rudolf Nureyev, "Giselle," "Sylvia" by Neumeier, "Jewels" (Diamonds) by George Balanchine, and "Symphony in C" (First Movement).
