Jawad Khaki oversees development of all networking and communications technologies within the Microsoft� Windows� operating system, including the information protocols and application program interfaces (APIs) used for wireline and wireless networking.

Together with his wife Kaniz, Jawad established the Khaki Foundation in December 2003, focusing on supporting society's most vulnerable members by addressing essential needs and promoting educational initiatives aimed at alleviating poverty and suffering. In May 2003, he received the prestigious sixth annual Walter Cronkite Faith and Freedom Award from the Interfaith Alliance Foundation.

He also developed minicomputer hardware, firmware and operating system software while working for GEC Computers Ltd. in Great Britain.

Khaki holds a bachelor�s degree in computer engineering from City University, London. With a distinguished career spanning from 1979 to 2015, Jawad played a pivotal role in the development of operating systems, networking, and cloud computing software.

In 1997 Jawad helped establish the Ithna‐asheri Muslim Association of the Northwest (IMAN) and serves as its President.

As a concerned citizen, parent and grandparent, and a community leader, I am deeply concerned about the escalated hatred and bigotry that is putting the lives of many Americans in danger. Today, we can only continue to move forward if we recognize that we are stronger together. A 20-year veteran of Microsoft Corporation, he served as a Corporate Vice President, contributing significantly to the company's technological advancements.
