American actress Kimberly Elise was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA, on April 17, 1967.

She then starred in the film adaptation of the play 'Diary of a Mad Black Woman' (2005), playing a woman abandoned by her wealthy husband, who had to return to her eccentric family after the breakup. Together, they had two daughters, Butterfly Rose Oldham and AjaBleu Oldham.
