Akkineni Nageswara Rao died on 22-01-2014 in Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India.

In 1983, the Studios produced ‘Sri Ranga Neethulu’ starring Akkineni Nageswara Rao and Sridevi directed by A. Kodandarami Reddy.

He has a presence in the movie industry at a very young age.

He has been Director on the board of the AP Film Development Corporation. The Studios by now has produced over twenty-five movies. The Studios is based in Hyderabad and mainly is in the business of production and distribution of Telugu films and providing various production facilities.

He is also the Board Member of the Foundation of Democratic Reforms in Hyderabad since the last two decades.

Akkineni Nageswara Rao was 90 years 4 months & 2 days old age. He did play a supporting role prior to this film but this film brought him under limelight.

In a career that spanned over 7 decades, he went on to star in over 250 films including Telugu, Tamil, and Bollywood films.

He was suffering from colon cancer. He finished his Bachelors in Economics and Minor in Mathematics and Statistics in 1975.

He did his MBA majoring in Finance from the University of Wisconsin in the USA from 1975 to 1977. Together the couple had five children including two sons named Akkineni Venkat (film producer), Akkineni Nagarjuna (actor & producer) and three daughters named Naga Susheela (film producer), Saroja Akkineni & Sathyavathi Akkineni.
