Jyoti Randhawa was born on 04-05-1972 in New Delhi, India.

Randhawa (India) recorded the season's lowest scoring average on the Asian Tour over a minimum of 40 rounds.

Played as the Volvo Masters of Asia (Dec 9-12; Asian Tr season-ending event). Second-placed Sammy Daniels (RSA) finished 1 shot behind defending champion Randhawa (India).

Presently he is ranked among the top 100 golfers on the planet. [Island course, Singapore Island CC, Singapore].

Played as the Wills Indian Open (March 16-19; Asian Tr event). He was also joint runner-up at the Maybank Malaysian Open in the same season.


•    Jyoti came up with some impressive performances at the international level in 2008.

It was the first win by an Indian in Japan.


•    In 2002 Jyoti became the first Indian to win the Order of Merit title in Asia after making a brave comeback from injury. •    In 2010, he was third at the SAIL Open and tied 10th at the Johnnie Walker Championship at Gleneagles.


•    Randhawa won the Singha Thailand Open 2009.

•    Jyoti Randhawa secured tied fifth place at the Asian Tour’s Resorts World Manila Masters in 2017.


•    In the 2016 Asian Tour season, Jyoti contended at the Panasonic Open India and the Resorts World Manila Masters, finishing tied second and tied fourth respectively.


•    Randhawa came up with two top-6 finishes on the PGTI in 2016 with his best of tied third coming at the TAKE Open Golf Championship.


•    He had two top-10s during the 2015 Asian Tour season.

Won the BILT Open 2006, AIS Golf Open 2007 and DLF Masters 2007.


•    Jyoti ended a two-year winless run by lifting a second Hero Honda Indian Open crown in a play-off in 2006. Randhawa (India) beat S.S.P. His Uncle was also a retired Lieutenant colonel from the Indian Army and his grandfather too served for the nation by joining an Indian Army and participated in the 1st World War. 

He married to the Indian actress Chitrangada Sing and had a son named Zorawar, but soon they both were divorced in 2014 and their son's custody was given to Chitrangada.

Vijay Kumar (India) was eliminated at the first playoff hole on Sunday, prior to darkness forcing the suspension of further play. Second-placed Tse-peng Chang (Taiw) finished 3 shots behind defending champion Randhawa (India), who equalled Peter Thomson's record as a three-time winner of the Indian Open.
