Fifty years later, in the time of the Corona pandemic, voices in theater are growing loud again, once again denouncing the abuse of power and the hierarchical structures of the publicly subsidized theaters. A group of professional actors and theater artists consciously dropped out of the subsidized city and state theater systems and sought a democratic practice for this art, which would be reflected in staff co-determination and collective forms of working.
