What is Janazah?
The Prophet said to me "Open (the gate) and give him the glad tidings of entering Paradise." I opened (the gate) for him, and behold! It was 'Uthman, I informed him of what Allah's Apostle had said. Narrated by Abu Musa (R.A):
While I was with the Prophet in one of the gardens of Medina, a man came and asked me to open the gate.

His Physical Appearance
He was neither short nor tall with broad shoulders and thick hair. He was also well known for his truthfulness and honesty.
Acceptance of Islam
Hazrat Abu Bakr (R.A) and he were close friends from the start.
Then, he and his wife along with some other Muslims migrated to Abyssinia and became the very first Muhajireen (leaving hometown for sake of Allah) in the history of Islam. He used to spend his money on helping poor and needy people. Sayyiduna Uthman Ghani was tied up with iron chains and put in the sun by his uncle Haqm bin Abi al-Aas for the crime of believing in the Holy Prophet and reciting the true word.
His teeth were shining and beautiful. Hazrat Ruqqaiah رَضِیَ اللہُ تَعَالٰی عَنْہَاdied during the battle of Badar. His unwavering commitment to Islam, along with his nobility and business proficiency, made him a prominent figure in the growing Muslim community of Makkah.
Conversion to Islam
Hazrat Usman (R.A.) embraced Islam during its early days in Makkah.
He always remained kind hearted to his opponents and thought of convincing them with reason than using strength. When false news came out that he was martyred by Makkans, the Holy Prophet ﷺ took an oath to take Usman Ghani`s (R.A) revenge. The day when the good news of Muslim conquest was reached to Madina people were busy in the burial of Hazrat Ruqqiah رَضِیَ اللہُ تَعَالٰی عَنْہَا.
When they appealed for financial support, Syedna Usman Ghani took responsibility for one-third of the expenses of the 30,000 army.As a businessman, honesty and trust were his hallmarks. Due to their hate for Usman (R.A), one day they entered his house when he (R.A) was reading the Holy Quran. He was born in 573 A.C. He (R.A) was from the “Umayyah” family of Quraish, a well-reputed and honorable family of Makkah during the pre-Islamic days.
He remained in Madina to take care of her wife, who could not live longer and died. May Allahعَزَّ وَجَلَّprivilege us to become a true example of courtesy and excellence of manners by following the footsteps of the blessed companions!
