Wildmind is where I do the bulk of my writing.

I’ve written a few books. We also publish guided meditation CDs and MP3s. He is also the author of I Can’t Believe It’s Not Buddha! (2018), and This Difficult Thing of Being Human (2019), both published by Parallax, and several audio books.

.

I teach in various Triratna centers, including Aryaloka Buddhist Center, which is just down the road.

I run Wildmind, an online meditation center with a mission to spread compassion and mindfulness through the practice of Buddhist meditation.

And then in 2009 I did it again and adopted a baby boy, also from Ethiopia.

About Bodhipaksa

I’m a Buddhist teacher and author living in New Hampshire, although I’m originally from Scotland.

I got my Sanskrit name (which means “Wings of Enlightenment,” incidentally) when I joined the Triratna Buddhist Order in 1993, after 11 years of Buddhist practice.

He was formerly the director of a retreat center in Scotland, and was center director at the Rocky Mountain Buddhist Center in Missoula, Montana.

He completed a Master’s degree in Buddhist approaches to business at the university of Montana, and founded Wildmind in 2001.

He has published several books on aspects of meditation and Buddhist practice, and is well-known for his guided meditation recordings.

As the director of Wildmind and the father of two young children, Bodhipaksa understands the challenges of balancing a meditation practice with a busy life.

I have plans to write a few more.

The thing I love more than anything else is seeing people change and become happier as they take up meditation and Buddhism.

In 2006 I adopted a baby girl from Ethiopia, and that’s been more satisfying than I could have imagined. He has been practicing meditation since 1982, and has been a member of the Triratna Buddhist Order since 1993.

His online courses have been running since 2002, and he has received consistent praise for hist practical, down-to-earth approach as well as his care for and commitment to each student.

Bodhipaksa teaches the following online course:

The Power of Mindfulness. He is the founder of Wildmind, which is an online meditation resource, a pubisher of guided meditation CDs, and a meditation center offering online instruction.

We offer an extensive self-paced guide to a variety of meditation techniques, a regular stream of articles in our blog, and online meditation events.
