Let Allah grant him health and long life. Recognized as one of the prominent reciters in the Islamic world, he was appointed to lead the Taraweeh and Qiyam prayers at the Prophet's Mosque. Sheikh Sahab memorized whole Quran in Madinah at early age. Then he moved to Makkah and started Taraweeh prayers with Sheikh Abdur Rehman As Sudais. He regularly leads fajr and maghrib prayers in Masjid Al Haram.
He has done Masters in Sharia and later on PHD from Umm ul Qura University. He completed his doctorate in the year of 2012.

Maher al-Muaiqly was appointed as an assistant professor at the College of Judicial Studies and Regulations at Umm al-Qura University. One day he will take the place of Sudais if everything goes well. He also delivered the Arafah sermon at Namirah Mosque in Arafat during the Hajj season of 2024.

Sheikh Maher Al Muaiqly full name Sheikh Maher Bin Hamad Al Muaiqly is the Imam of the Grand Mosque Masjid Al Haram Makkah, Saudi Arabia. He has authored two scholarly works: the first on the jurisprudential issues of Imam Ahmad Bin Hanbal as narrated by Abdulmalik al-Maimuni, and the second, an editorial study of the book Tuhfat al-Nabih fi Sharh al-Tanbih, focusing on hudood (Islamic penal laws) and judiciary.

Sheikh Muaiqly was born in 7 January, 1969 in the holy land of Madina Munawara.

He earned a Master’s degree in Hanbali Fiqh from Umm Al-Qura University in Makkah, followed by a Doctorate in Shafi’i Fiqh from the same institution.
However, his passion for Islamic studies led him to undertake an extraordinary academic shift.
He eventually earned not one but two doctoral degrees in Islamic sciences, making him one of the few scholars with dual doctorates in different Islamic disciplines.

He began his professional life as a mathematics teacher after completing his education at the Teachers’ College in Madinah.

He is a popular Imam of Masjid Haram specially during Ramadaan Tarrawiah and Khayamul lail. But later on he left this job and started teaching in Saud University in Makkah.
In 2005 and 2006 he lead Taraweeh prayer in Masjid-e-Nabwi Madinah.
Subsequently, he moved to lead Taraweeh prayers at the Grand Mosque. After completing his education he began to teach Mathematics. He currently resides in the UK, where he is pursuing a degree in Islamic studies. Sheikh Maher was a keen student of Mathematics.
