Terry Ellison

Founder and CEO of New Life Church of God in Christ/New Life Ministries, Dr. Terry Ellison faithfully executes God’s vision for one church in seven locations. I don’t like tomatoes, I don’t like okra, I don’t like onions, but I love it in soup because what it does is, I don’t taste the onions.

Pastor Ellison called 8 people together and after allowing them to view a screen presentation of the vision, they all agreed and said, “Let’s move forward.” So with approximately 34 people in attendance, on April 4, 1993, New Life Church of God In Christ held its first service at the Governor’s House Hotel.

His weekly television series, “Harvest For Souls” airs on TBN and MY 68 in Montgomery and Birmingham reaching an audience of thousands in Alabama.

So with no hesitation, New Life worked very hard to finish remodeling the 6500 square feet sanctuary. Annually, he sponsors crusades in the city’s most poverty–stricken areas and distributes groceries and offers encouragement by meeting the physical and spiritual needs of those who might not otherwise hear God’s message. The fellowship hall served as the sanctuary at this time.

TPC's format is family and Christian programming with its motto, "Trust Us With Your Family."

Locally, Pastor Ellison’s commitment to putting God’s Word in action is evidenced by his tireless efforts to serve the community. Powerfully anointed to lead, he directs a successful, multi-faceted, multi-million-dollar ministry that includes philanthropic services, numerous community outreach initiatives, an accredited Bible college, a job skills center, a 24-hour Christian radio station, a television broadcast ministry, and diverse counseling services—each housed across seven church campuses strategically located throughout Montgomery, Alabama.

Dr. To hear her wailing over the phone, the deep sorrow and hurt that she had — I was already upset about it, but did not know that that was her first cousin — that made it more personal to us and our church as well. I’m from Elba, Alabama, originally which had a black pool, a white pool, a black project, a white project.

Soon, the men in the church began working on the other areas of the church and on May 23, 1993 a 200-plus seat sanctuary was completed.
