Maryam Nemazee is an Iranian British broadcast journalist with a strong track record in the media industry.
She is fluent in Persian.

She has interviewed some of the world"s top political and business leaders, including: the former Chairman of the Federal Reserve Paul Volcker, Organisation of Petroleum Export Countries Secretary-General Abdallah Salem el-Badri, and International Monetary Fund Managing Director Christine Lagarde.
There, she conducted exclusive interviews with key newsmakers including Hamas leader Khaled Mashaal and Morgan Tsvangirai, now Zimbabwe's Prime Minister. Her work has taken her to different parts of the world, allowing her to cover important stories such as the Israel-Palestinian conflict, Iran's nuclear negotiations, and the election of the first socialist President in France.
As well as working in the company"s global headquarters in Qatar, she also had assignments at the broadcast-centres in the United States and in Asia.
Nemazee graduated from Durham University in England, where she studied History and Politics.
She then obtained her professional broadcast journalism training, like many British broadcasters, at London"s City University.
Nemazee has also covered some of the world's top news stories including the execution of Saddam Hussein and the 2008 US Presidential Election from Washington, D.C.
Nemazee worked previously for BBC, Channel 4 and Channel 5 in London.
