This method guides believers through various “stations” of the Old Testament Tabernacle (or Temple), each representing a step in approaching God and experiencing His presence.
Introduction
Many years ago I was desiring to know how great men of our faith pray.
He also emphasizes the partnership with the Holy Spirit in life and ministry, as it is the key to receiving power for Christian life such as fruits, gifts, power, and anointing for ministry. He strongly advocated for fervent and continuous prayer, believing it to be as essential as sleeping, eating, and breathing. Now when these things have been thus prepared, the priests are continually entering the outer tabernacle, performing the divine worship, but into the second only the high priest enters, once a year, not without taking blood, which he offers for himself and for the sins of the people committed in ignorance.
Cho’s ministry trained pastors from 50 nations, sent 657 missionaries to 63 countries, and helped plant 1,200+ churches worldwide. Then I came across Dr Cho's tabernacle prayer and it transformed my prayer life for good. Anytime I make time to pray I am unable to fill the hours of prayer with content. I can pray for long hours such that I have to tell myself to stop.
The Original Tabernacle Prayer Teaching Videos by Dr. David Yonggi Cho
Brief bio: Pastor David Yonggi Cho, founder of Yoido Full Gospel Church in Seoul, grew it from 5 members to over 830,000, making it the world’s largest congregation. Accordingly both gifts and sacrifices are offered which cannot make the worshiper perfect in conscience, since they relate only to food and drink and various washings, regulations for the body imposed until a time of reformation.
And above it were the cherubim of glory overshadowing the mercy seat; but of these things we cannot now speak in detail. Though not without controversy, his Spirit-empowered legacy reshaped nations through prayer, compassion, and evangelism.
According to Pastor Cho, Tabernacle Prayer is a biblical method to worship God and receive more anointing.
I found this approach to prayer effective, New Testament, bible based and of faith. Out of his deep prayer life and sensitivity to the Spirit, Pastor Cho developed the Tabernacle or Temple Prayer. Thus, with this kind of prayer approach, you can easily pray for 5 hours effectively without struggle.
The interesting thing about this prayer approach is that it is only effective based on your depth of understanding of the following:
- The finished works of Jesus Christ on the cross
- The right scriptures
- The prayer of faith
- Making adequate time to pray
Once again, I want to acknowledge and express my sincere gratitude to God's General Dr David Paul Yonggi Cho for taking the time to share his prayer experience, and I also share this because I received it through his sharing.

The Noah’s Project is an effort to bring the message of the gospel to the unbeliever (both far and near) and discipleship through Bible discussions as well as helping to answer new believers questions, doubts and difficulties.
If we believe that the Old Testament sacraments pointed to what Jesus would do, and that He is the eternal Great High Priest, we can draw near to God in heaven with great authority and power. Not only that, I was wondering whether it was possible to take a peep into their prayer life to understand what they pray about when they pray for long hours.
I was struggling to pray for long hours even though I had the desire.
Hence I easily got tired along the way. For there was a tabernacle prepared, the outer one, in which were the lampstand and the table and the sacred bread; this is called the holy place.
