12:10-20). Made from gilded bronze in 1425 CE by Lorenzo Ghiberti (1378-1455 CE). This panel shows the angels appearing before Abraham and the sacrifice of Isaac. Abraham couldn’t help but laugh that his 100-year-old body and Sarah’s 90-year-old body could have a child. Perhaps God planned to make them wait longer originally, or perhaps they didn’t take God at His word, meaning they would have to wait another 13 years for a son through Sarai.
When Abram was 99 years old, and his son Ishmael was 13, God appeared to Abram again to confirm His covenant with man.

Biography
Born in Walvisbaai, Namibia, where his father and mother were teachers.
In 2018 he had a role in Onder die Suiderkruis, a drama series broadcast on SABC 2. This earns her a harsh response from her mistress that forces her to flee while still pregnant. God vows to him in Genesis 12:2-3 that He will make Abram a great patriarch with a large and blessed nation.
God, a short time later, decides to visit Abraham in the form of a physical manifestation of Jesus Christ accompanied by two angels (Genesis 18).
Abraham, as a sign of the covenant, circumcises himself, Ishmael (now 13) and his entire household (Genesis 17:7 - 14). The family migrates northwest to a city named Haran located in a region of ancient Syria named Padanaram.

Called by God
Terah, at the ripe old age of 205, dies in the city of Haran (Genesis 11:32). Important work, but not what she felt called to do.
A severe famine, the first one mentioned in the Biblical record, then strikes Canaan. She is grateful for any opportunity to share the Lord in her writing and editing, believing that life is too short to write about anything else. The text doesn’t mention how traumatic this must have been to Sarai (though I suspect Abram experienced plenty of her anger in later years to make up for this trauma).
What Happened After Abraham Split from His Nephew Lot?
When Abram, Sarai, and Lot returned to Canaan, they realized their livestock herds had grown too great, and there was not enough land to support all of them.

Abraham, ever since leaving Haran, has feared his wife's beauty would get him killed.
The Eternal also makes a covenant with him and reveals his descendants will be afflicted for many years before being released with great wealth (Genesis 15).

A Man-Made Solution

God’s Covenant with Abraham
After this, Abram begins to question how he will be the father of a great nation when he has no children.
The Lord reiterates his promise of a son and reveals he has come to investigate Sodom and Gomorrah’s alleged sins.
