Mitali Mukherjee is a political economy journalist with more than two decades of experience in TV, print and digital journalism.

Her passion for journalism led her to the Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC), where she specialized in TV and Broadcast Journalism. As a Consulting Business Editor, she plays a crucial role in analyzing economic policies, financial markets, and business trends. With over two decades of experience, she has worked with some of the most prestigious news organizations, including CNBC TV18, The TV Today Group, BBC World, and Doordarshan.

However, in 2014, she resigned from her role, marking the end of an era in her career.

MoneyMile Initiative

In 2016, Mukherjee co-founded MoneyMile, a digital video platform dedicated to financial literacy and investment education. Her contributions to ORF highlight her commitment to ethical journalism and policy analysis.

Mitali began her professional journey in 2001 as an Associate Producer at Miditech, an Indian television production company.

Prior to that she was Markets Editor at CNBC TV 18 and Prime Time Anchor at TV Today and Doordarshan. Through MoneyMile, she aimed to change this narrative by offering expert insights, market analysis, and investment strategies tailored for women.

Editorji Experience

After her tenure at CNBC TV18, Mukherjee joined Editorji, a digital news outlet founded by Vikram Chandra.

Mukherjee’s vision was to bridge the gap between financial knowledge and decision-making, ensuring that people could make informed choices about their investments.

One of the core missions of MoneyMile was to promote women’s financial independence. As a Consulting Business Editor, she covered major financial and economic events, providing in-depth analysis and expert opinions.
