Srisailam Mallikarjuna (Lord Shiva) was pleased by her devotion, apperead before her and asked a boon. Hemareddy Mallamma never wrote Vachanas but her life is an inspiration for women.

This 14th-century story is from the book From The History of Srisailam, pages 32 and 33. Her enduring influence continues to inspire the Sangha’s mission of building a more equitable and enlightened society. the couple was childless, owing to this they went to offer their prayers at Srisailam Mallikarjuna Swamy temple and to seek Lord blessings.
To fulfill their desire, they went to Srisailam Malikarjuna Swamy on Sivarathri and worshiped wholeheartedly. However, Mallamma's mother-in-law and sister-in-law, unsatisfied with her, created many obstructions. Born into a noble and devout Reddy family near Srisailam, she was nurtured with deep-rooted values of compassion, service, and piety.
One night, Mallikarjuna Swamy appeared in Nagireddy's dream and said that a devoted daughter would be born to them. This temple is located at a distance of half a km from Mallikarjuna Swamy temple.
The story of Hemareddy Mallamma temple dates back to 14th century. A turning point came when her husband, intent on harming her, was halted by a divine vision—an event that marked the beginning of his transformation and underscored the power of her devotion.
These works continue to celebrate her as a timeless symbol of unwavering faith, forgiveness, and social harmony.
A temple dedicated to her was constructed near the Mallikarjuna shrine in Srisailam in 2010 by the Karnataka Veerashaiva Reddy Samaj. At that time, there lived a couple, Nagireddy and Gouamma, in Ramapuram near Srisailam. The temple was constructed by Veerashaiva Reddy Samaj and was inaugurated on 26 May 2010 by Konijeti Rosaiah, the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh.
Unable to tolerate this, her sister-in-law, Nagamma, who was very rude, told her mother-in-law about Mallamma.
Mahasadhvi Hemareddy Mallamma was a revered saint of the 14th century, celebrated for her unwavering devotion to Lord Shiva and her extraordinary spiritual resilience.
After the arrival of Mallamma in her in-laws' house, the wealth and glory started increasing.
Her life reflects the highest ideals of selfless service, resilience, and unwavering dedication to the betterment of society—values that KRJS strives to uphold through its commitment to educational excellence and community upliftment.
After some time, a daughter was born; he named her Mallamma, as she was a gift of Mallikarjuna.
