Founding STMPD RCRDS
In 2016, Martin Garrix founded his own record label, STMPD RCRDS. Then I would save all that money and use it to buy myself an upgrade from the mixer that I had or new equipment — I was constantly trying to grow as DJ Marty.”
As a young child, Garrix took lessons in Spanish flamenco-style guitar, initially playing cover songs and later writing melodies of his own.
Garrix attended the Herman Brood Academie, an arts school in Utrecht, where he honed his music production skills.

“I went to the Herman Brood because I wanted to learn more about production, not because I was like, ‘I’m going to make my money with music,'” Garrix told the Miami New Times. Months after launching his label, he signed a worldwide deal with Sony Music International.
Major Collaborations
Garrix is known for his collaborations with a wide range of prominent artists.
He created the label to be a platform for artists of various genres. On March 17, 2015, he released his new single, "Don't Look Down," featuring Usher. He was this big Dutch DJ and I remember listening to it and feeling it straight away. In 2016, he headlined a charity event in Los Angeles with proceeds going to Fuck Cancer and held a charity show in Mumbai to support the education of 10,000 children through Magic Bus.
He has been an international friend for SOS Children's Villages since 2017, visiting their locations and raising awareness. After the 2017 Mexico earthquake, he donated a significant portion of his performance fee.

Biography
Feridun Hamdullahpur, was the University of Waterloo's sixth president and vice-chancellor (2010-2021) and has been an engineer, educator and leader over the span of his career in research and higher education.
His breakthrough came in 2013 with the release of his solo track "Animals". "Animals" also appeared on the album "Hardwell presents 'Revealed Volume 4'" by Dutch producer Hardwell. Various online publications make estimations as to what the DJ’s net worth could be, however it’s difficult to verify these as being accurate.

‘Animals’ and rise to stardom
Garrix created the track “Animals” in his bedroom at his parents’ house, and it was officially released in June 2013, when he was only 17 years old.
Martin himself admits that the success of the track came as a complete surprise, with the song having peaked at number one on various charts across the world, including the UK, Belgium and Hungary.
“I was making all my music in my bedroom at my parents’ house and when I made Animals I had no idea what was about to happen,” Garrix told GQ.
“Then the songs started to be played worldwide and it was all very unreal for me.”
Garrix has revealed how he attended Belgium’s Tomorrowland festival in 2013 as a fan and heard some of his favourite DJs play his own song. In 2014, at the age of 17, he became the youngest DJ to headline the Ultra Music Festival.
