Young Maharaja Sansar Chandra

In the late 17th century Maharaja Sansar Chandra ruled over Kangra and its surrounding area. From 2003 to 2007, she was elected as a member of Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly (third term).

She done her schooling from Sophia High School, Mount Abu, Rajasthan and B.A.

    Chandresh Kumari becomes union cabinet minister for Culture

    Himachal Pradesh gets another birth in Cabinet as Chandresh Kumari Katoch, Himachal Congress leader and currently MP from Rajasthan, inducted into Manmohan Singh cabinet as Union Minister of Culture.

    Earlier she had expressed keenness to return to Himachal Pradesh politics and demanded ticket from Dharamshala segment and with her inclusion in cabinet it seems that Congress party has rewarded her for sacrificing the ambition to return to Himachal Pradesh politics.

    Chandresh Kumari Katoch is a three-time legislator and two-times MP from Himachal Pradesh.
