Sloan received his Juris Doctorate with honors from Duke University School of Law, where he was a member of the Editorial Board of the Duke Law Journal.
For more than forty years, Mr. Adar has been an active leader in the Los Angeles community, dedicating his philanthropic involvement to the arts, education, and medicine. Before joining CNA, Mr.
Alkana was Vice President of Operations for NewMark Merrill Companies, responsible for the oversight of a 4.5 million square foot portfolio of retail shopping centers.
Mr. Mr. Adar is: a member of the National and International Boards of the American Friends of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra and Chairman of the West Coast; a member of the board of the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts; a member of the Executive Cabinet Committee of the Board of Governors for Cedars-Sinai Medical Center; a member of the Board of the American Friends of Sheba Medical Center Tel Hashomer; and a member of the board of UCLA’s Ziman Center for Real Estate.
In 2008, Mr. and Mrs. Adar founded The Adar Family and Friends Research Institute for Eye Disease at Brandeis University to develop more advanced treatment protocols for a variety of eye diseases.
Despite Mr. Adar’s visual impairment, he enjoys participating in active sports including hiking, skiing, and mountain climbing.
Adar was born in Israel and served for three years with the Diplomatic Corps as the Economic Attaché for the Eleven Western States. He has served as President and as an instructor at the non-profit Colorado Ski School for the Blind in Vail, Colorado.

In addition to overseeing the day-to-day operations of CNA Enterprises, Larry Sloan is responsible for the analysis and documentation of investments and financing for the company. Mr. Adar established CNA Enterprises as a real estate investment firm with a primary focus on grocery-anchored shopping centers across the United States.
With a broad background in real estate development, management and leasing, Mr. Alkana applies his operational expertise to enhance property values through tenant retention, efficiency of service, property re-imaging, and rehabilitation.

Arnon Adar has been extensively involved in real estate and finance since 1976, originating more than $3 billion in transactions, and organizing several high-tech venture capital groups, bringing some to IPO status. He is a graduate of the University of Southern California.
He has also served on the Executive Board of the Los Angeles Opera, the International Board of Trustees of the Israel Air Force Foundation, the Board of Trustees for Tel Aviv University, the Colburn Music Academy Deans' Council, the Board of Stephen Wise Temple and the Board of Harvard-Westlake School, and is active with the American Friends of Hebrew University in Jerusalem.
In 1993, the Adar family established a center for pediatric bone marrow transplant at Sheba Medical Center in Tel Aviv.
Prior to joining CNA, Mr. Sloan practiced law with Sullivan & Cromwell LLP in New York and Los Angeles. Alkana received his Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Southern California, and completed the real estate program, "Real Property Development and Management" within the university's Marshall School of Business.
As President and CEO, he oversees the company’s ongoing operations, as well as its long-term vision. This vision includes the development and implementation of investment strategies which define the structure and organization of the company’s corporate culture.
Mr. Mr. Sloan is a member of the State Bar of California and of the State Bar of New York, and holds a California real estate broker's license.

In his role as Senior Vice President, Asset Management, Steve Alkana oversees the management of CNA's portfolio of properties.
Mr. Sloan also holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations, magna cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania. Mr. Alkana is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC).
